Off on the cross-country trail

Now it’s here – the long-awaited snow, and it’s not only the ski areas in the Free Republic of Holidays of Saas-Fee that are sweetened by its presence, but also the villages. Now it’s not only the alpine skiers turn, but also those who prefer to indulge in Nordic winter sports can now romp around the Zermeiggern–Eiu cross-country skiing trail and enjoy the glittering winter wonderland.

In Saas-Almagell, ten kilometres on the Zermeiggern–Eiu trail are maintained for classic and skate skiing. Although cross-country certainly gets you warmed up and you are not quite as high up as the alpine skiers, it is recommended that you wrap yourself up properly.
